About the Foundation

Established in 1998, Elkhorn and Area Foundation serves the community of Elkhorn, Manitoba and surrounding areas. The foundation was created to assist the community in responding to today’s challenges and meeting emerging needs now and in the future. Part of the Community Foundations of Canada, the foundation currently oversees and administers an endowment of $1.7 million. An excess of $492,555 in grants and $36,250 in scholarships have been awarded from 1999-2023. Endowment Funds are currently managed by the Winnipeg Foundation.
